The Spain fairs calendar will be reactivated after the summer

El calendario ferial se reactiva después del verano en España

The principal fairs in Spain are organizing different events for the last four months of the year to revive part of the economy of the Country. Some of the places that have already started making their calendar public are La Fira in Barcelona, The FEVAL (Institución Ferial of Extremadura), and IFEMA in Madrid.

Fira of Barcelona

From September, this fairground will be the host events of the Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, The Barcelona International Boat, Foodtech, Smart City Expo World or Eurosurfas, and many others.

To guarantee the safety of the organizers, exhibitors, and visitors, the Fira of Barcelona has prepared a manual that stipulates more than 400 processes to follow and 1,000 mitigation measures to prevent and avoid unnecessary risks.

Among the measures, we find the digitalization of some activities and checkpoints to control the correct use of the masks and social distance. The installation of open stands that can be easily cleaned and sanitized is part, as well, of the plans.

FEVAL

The FEVAL (Institución Ferial de Extremadura) plans to open its doors from October of this year. Currently, it is already preparing a comprehensive action protocol against COVID-19, guaranteeing the security conditions of its fairs and looking for new business models.

Under the motto: "we still by your side, FEVAL, with the collaboration of the Association of Spanish Fairs, seeks the reactivation of fairs activities to rebuild the economy of the country.

IFEMA

IFEMA in Madrid, which for a time became a field hospital to treat patients with coronavirus, has been analysing and designing security measures plans for the last few months to open its doors in September.  This plan includes protocols defined by the international public and health authorities and sectoral organizations.

All companies from diverse sectors will have a place in the offer that IFEMA will open soon. The focus is going to be on the national and international tourists offer to promote the growth of the Spain economy.
